Examining the value and impact of art integration in environmental field courses in Upstate New York

Funded by the National Endowment of the Arts, the goal of this research project is to study the value and impact of employing artistic practices as an underlying framework to approach, understand, and interpret ecological systems and land use in New York through interdisciplinary, intensive, place-based field courses. The efficacy of this program will be assessed over three years using a Mixed Method approach (qualitative and quantitative) including surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
